Views of Ranquitte

rankit_depi_mon_jean-felix.jpg

The view looking Southwards from Mount Jean-Felix.  Mount Pignon is off in the distance in the upper-right hand corner, peaking above the mountain range called Marion.

The picture above shows Ranquitte from the top of Mount Benefis, looking Westward.  In the upper-right hand corner of the picture, you seen the mountain called Nombay, where the bottom left picture was taken from.

Looking East-Northeast from Nombay.  It took my some four hours to hike there one Saturday, and I ran out of water shortly after I reached the mountain's peak; it was not a good place to run out of water.  You can hardly see Ranquitte in the picture, but it's easy to appreciate the mountainous terrain that defines most of Haiti's topography.
